A study on what women want when they shop for apparel, released a report on how they shop for shoes and clothes. The study compared shopping in-store with shopping online and using their smartphones. The study was an independent study with 1000 female participants. The result was surprising. The Result-
Although 53% of women have 1-5 shopping apps on their phones, not many of them use their phones to purchase shoes and clothes. Of the women who participated only 1% prefer to use the smartphone to shop for apparel while 76% prefer to shop in-store. Twenty -two percent preferred to shop online. Crowds. transportation, parking and interacting with sales personnel were what they like least about the in-store shopping experience. According to the report, this preference is not expected to change in the near future. The study was published by Swirl, a mobile marketing platform provider.
