The Center for Disease Control(CDC) describes air pollution as ” The presence of substances in the air that are either present in an environment where they do not belong, or present at levels greater than they should be.”

Air pollution is a cause of chronic diseases such as cancer, respiratory and lung diseases and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease( COPD).
If you don’t smoke, but you inhale second smoke from those around you, you are exposed to air pollution from tobacco smoke. Second hand smoke is the third preventable cause of death in North America.
Second-hand smoke degrades the quality of air and puts those subjected to it at risk for the same diseases caused by air pollution and smoking tobacco.
Air pollution is one of the risk factors of our health program, those who participate learn to recognize it and to take actions to reduce it from their lifestyle.
