Are you a physically active person or are you a sedentary one? Does your lifestyle affect your ability to mobilize and be active?
Being physically active is a lifestyle choice. Here are some health reasons why one should choose an active lifestyle.
When you exercise regularly you build stronger muscles.
Exercise improves cognitive function, improves balance and can protect the body from injury.
Physical activity can be a good antidote to stress. Physical activity increases your energy.

A physically active person makes speedier recovery following hospitalizations or recovery from an illness.
Physical activity contributes to a healthier immune system. Being physically active protects you from colds and helps you recover faster from unavoidable ones.
An active lifestyle reduces your risk for many cancers including colon and breast cancer.
Physical inactivity, on the other hand, is a risk factor for chronic diseases and other health problems. Lack of physical activity can cause:
Heart disease
Stroke
Type 2 diabetes
Obesity related illnesses
Cancer
Anxiety and
Depression
Osteoporosis and fractures
Lackof physical activity is a major cause of obesity in chidren and adults.
Sitting for more than 6 hours per day is a health risk , it can reduce your longevity by several years.

The recommended physical activity to protect our health is 150 minutes of moderate intensity aerobics per week. Brisk walking is a good example.
Being physically active will improve your health, prevent diseases and contribute to longevity.
